April Showers, Bring May...

March came and went, but with a lot of new life in my backyard here in Jonesboro from baby bunnies, kittens and some new hens. Urban farming is rewarding and so good for the body, mind, soul. Preparing the garden site was not a one person job so it was nice to be able to bond with my husband as we worked together. Getting the soil ready, fertilizing it and yes, watering were the focus before the seedlings planted or yes, as I planted some plants I purchased at D&E Feed Store.

How are you doing? Are you enjoying the seasonal changes of your life?

In April, we enjoyed participating in The Total Eclipse. It is hard to explain in words how I/we felt as the sun was covered up close to 4 minutes mid day and to listen to nature and yes, family, friends wearing their eclipse glasses in awe of the spectacular. We were among our Greers Ferry neighborhood on the narrows of the lake and could hear people in the distance cheering almost in unison to the sun's dampening of splendor then reopening of full power of light upon us.

This month of May, we have had a lot of rain so not sure about that old saying yet have enjoyed the seasonal early Spring to late Spring Flowers along the way. It is easy to overlook the natural beauty of the wild flowers and or blooming AR trees, all around, however, I cherish the moments to see, breath in to my mind these scenes when venturing outdoors whether on my feet or in a car. My hope, wish for those I serve and those who may ponder upon my website and or are considering Functional Medicine - is to 1st consider getting back to simple things, the day to day tasks we do as humans for ourselves and others. By doing so, I am reminded to be ever so GrateFul to have a new moment in this World ToDaY and it keeps me looking forward to Tomorrow however it may come. Just as Spring has come and is soon going to be Summer, You and I can keep growing, learning and seeking increased new Energy blended with Calmness and Genuine JoY.
